Meet Your Instructor...
Hi I’m Erin.
From a young age my mum taught me how to sew, cross stitch, embroider, crochet and knit. I am so grateful to her for that.
As I grew older, life got busier, and like so many of us, I let some of those creative hobbies fall into the background.
In 2023, I decided to hand-embroider a jacket for the Taylor Swift Era’s Tour. What began as a simple idea quickly turned into a labour of love. It’s a project that reignited my love for embroidery. Spending hours working on something so personal and creative reminded me how much I love the process.
Stitching gives me a way to calm my mind, keep my hands busy, and feel a real sense of accomplishment.
Since early December 2024, I’ve been hosting embroidery workshops at Finnegan Whiskers. Teaching others how to stitch while hanging out with adorable cats? It’s truly the best combination!
Each workshop has been filled with laughter, creativity, and connection — and it’s been such a joy to watch beginners discover the joy of embroidery for themselves.
One of my favourite things about embroidery is that it doesn’t demand perfection or speed. You can work on it little by little — there’s no pressure to finish it all at once. You don’t even have to get it exactly “right.”
I’m so excited to share this craft with you — to help you learn the basics, build your confidence, and hopefully discover the same love and peace that embroidery has given me.
